David Wiffen is a mainstay on the local music scene. He’s toured with the Tommy Dorsey Big Band, and the Peter Appleyard Orchestra and has shared the stage with Aretha Franklin and Nathalie Cole. David can play any style – jazz, rock, blues, and classical music and his muscular, soulful sound makes him the “go to” tenor man in the region. He has a Master’s degree from Eastman and a post-bop sensibility.
The band for his jazz room performance features the creme of the region’s musicians, including virtuoso guitarist Dave Thompson (Susan Aglukark, Kelly-Lee Evans). The Rhythm section features Clark Johnston on bass, Dave O’Neill on drums and Ron Fekete on piano.
Dave belts out the soulful original tune “Keep the Faith” at the registry.
