Benjamin Deschamps is one of the young lions of Montreal Jazz. He’s a multi instrumentalist, playing flute, clarinet and all of the Sax’s.

Very active on the Montreal music scene, he created  the “Atomic Big Band” in 2010 which features the new generation  of elite  jazz musicians in  Montreal. He also directed the Montreal All City Big Band during the 2012 winter session, the same year that he he received his Bachelor in jazz interpretation. He’s performed in France with the McGill Jazz Orchestra and in 2013, he joined Jacques Kuba Séguin’s group “The Odd Lot” for a tour in Poland.

The Benjamin Deschamps Quartet came together in 2013. The band won the Rimouski Festi Jazz Grand Prix that year.  In March 2014, The quartet  launched his first recording  “What Do We Know?” with Montreal’s label Oddsound.
