Come and hear the versatile violinist Jerzy Kaplanek, member of the acclaimed Penderecki String Quartet, with an exciting line up of musicians: Thomas Hammerton – keyboards, Lukas Bouda – guitar, Tyler Wagler – bass, Adam Bowman – drums.
With his sublime, soulful sound, Kaplanek will explore the jazz classics but also introduce us to the varied and powerful tunes written and made famous by iconic jazz violinists Stephane Grappelli, Jean-Luc Ponty, Didier Lockwood, and Polish sensation, the young Adam Baldych. Spend an evening at the Jazz Room going on this musical journey with Kaplanek and his group as they bring the high-powered jazz-fusion vibe that suits his violin playing so perfectly.
On the Jazz stage, Kaplanek has collaborated with such artist as David Braid, Dave Young, Robi Botos, Roberto Occhipinti and is a member of the New Vibe Quintet.
