Elizabeth Shepherd (from Montreal)

January 25, 2014 @ 7:30 am – 10:30 am

A three-time Juno nominee, Elizabeth Shepherd is a Canadian voice to be heard.  With an electrifying performance last year, Shepherd returns as one of the reigning unique female voices in Canadian jazz.  Whether it be her own compositions, standards, or reinterpretations of contemporary voices, she is always on with a clear and poignant musical offering that is at once spellbinding and emotive.

This time in a quartet format, Shepherd shines in a spare and compelling sound that can’t help but lock into listeners, leaving the audience transformed with her authenticity and purity of sound.  REWIND-pakshot
