Rob Gellner is returning for a fifth time, this time with a Septet and fresh new arrangements of Herbie Hancock standards, crafted for four horns and rhythm section, plus some of Rob’s own originals from the album “What If“.

Rob studied Composition at Wilfrid Laurier and has a B Mus in Composition.  He has studied arranging privately with Rob McConnell as well as Mike Malone and  Dave McMurdo for a number of years.  Rob arranges for other groups in the area including a recent Jazz Room release of Jason Raso’s Funktet arranging 6 of the 8 songs on Jason’s  album.  Rob plays with and has arranged a number of songs for Big Band Theory on their album “Evidence”.

Featuring the talents of Tim Moher and Robin Habermehl on woodwinds, Robin Jessom on trombone, Jeff Daniels on keys, Greg Prior on bass, Andy Macpherson on drums and Rob Gellner on trumpet and flugelhorn.
