Considered a living legend of Brazilian Jazz and MPB, singer, composer, instrumentalist, arranger and producer Filó Machado has a 60-year career and 13 celebrated albums to his credit. He has performed across the globe with orchestras, at jazz festivals and clubs, and given masterclasses at universities and conservatories. He has partnered with artists such as Kenny Barron, Jon Hendricks, Michel Legrand, John Patitucci, Aldir Blanc, Djavan among many others.

Oná Ensemble is a Brazilian-Canadian chamber music group that blends jazz with the inspiration of the life force within Brazilian music. The unique instrumentation of the ensemble, featuring two French horns, bassoon, reeds (flute, clarinet, saxophone), guitar, and drums/percussion, provides a captivating global and “classical” sound, combined with the soul of Brazilian Jazz and Choro. Oná Ensemble strives to create new paths for musical creation, collaboration, and performance.
