Once new to the Waterloo Region, moving from Calgary, Greg Prior has
been established in the Waterloo scene for over 16 years. Greg has been a
regular performe r with local groups such as The Pheonix Jazz Group, Big
Band Theory, Ernie Kalwa, and played with many other local performe rs.
Prior to moving to the region, Greg toured out west with artists such as
Prairie Ceilidh (Celtic/Canadian), Barrage (Fiddle group), Vibre (Jazz
Ensemble), and Vicky Oveson’s Masacote (Latin Jazz). He has played 9
major jazz festivals across Canada, and toured and recorded extensively.
Comfortable with symphonic, jazz and Latin styles, Greg brings diverse
talent to the stage.
From his experiences in Western Canada to Montrea ux to Havana, Greg will
be performing decades of music that has influenced his career, including
some original compositions never been heard before.
Joining Greg for this musical experience will be an inspired combination of
some of KW`s most interesting artists some you may be familiar with and
some who are new to the scene.
