On a holiday break from her Master’s Degree program in Valencia, Spain, Alternative Soul Singer/Songwriter Avery Raquel will be performing her award-winning music from her latest album, as well as new material yet to be released, and unique arrangements of covers you all know and love. Avery will be performing a mix of Soul/RnB/Funk, with a flavour of her Jazz, and Blues experiences.
She has been entertaining professionally for many years. By 21, Avery had released 4 solo albums to critical acclaim and airplay across North America, her latest debuting on the Canadian iTunes Top 200 RnB/Soul album chart at #5. Performing a mix of Soul/RnB/Funk, with a flavour of her Jazz, and Blues experiences, Avery continues to wow audiences with her powerful vocals at festivals, main stage theatres, & clubs around the country.
As a performer, Avery has taken the stage across North America, including at some famed New York City clubs like Birdland, Metropolitan Room and Don’t Tell Mama Cabaret, as well as top Canadian venues like Koerner Hall, Roy Thomson Hall, The St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts, The Jazz Bistro, Lula Lounge, and Hugh’s Room. She has performed at the Berklee Global Jazz Institute on the Newport Jazz Festival stage, as well as at the Toronto Jazz Festival, Burlington Sound of Music Festival, Oakville Jazz Festival, Brantford International Jazz Festival, Riverfest, TD Niagara Jazz Festival, and South Coast Jazz Festival, as well as other prominent music festivals in Ontario including Beatlesfest in London.
