KW’s own, Jonathan Chapman, leads a trailblazing quartet comprised of internationally renowned musicians. The ensemble is rooted in a deep respect for the history of jazz, while also pushing the boundaries of contemporary stylings. The ensemble will perform a compelling setlist that features well-known standards, underappreciated gems and original compositions by its members.
The ensemble features Toronto-based musicians Andrew Marzotto (guitar), and Ewen Farncombe (piano), Los Angeles-based drummer Anthony Fung and is led by Kitchener-Waterloo’s own Jonathan Chapman.
Jonathan graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA (2012-2016) where he studied on a full-tuition scholarship. In 2018, he earned a M.Mus from the Schulich School of Music at McGill University.
