Danish drummer and Juno Award winner Anders Mogensen along with Danish piano wizard Carl Winther teams up with two of Canada’s most profound and loved jazz legends: Saxman Kirk MacDonald and bassist Neil Swainson. It will be a High intensity jazz night with well swingin’ music performed at its best.
Anders Mogensen and Carl Winther have for 15 years been a part of sax legend Jerry Bergonzi’s Quartet and toured the world with him. Mogensen has made himself a household name with his collaboration with the international band “The North”, with two other Canadian jazz celebrities: Mike Murley and David Braid. This band won a Juno award in 2018 for their album “The North”, and have toured all over Canada, Australia, Europe and China.
Carl and Anders are looking very much forward to teaming up with Swainson and MacDonald. It will be a swingin’ affair with this hard driving and virile quartet.
