A native of Waterloo Region, Elaine Ruddock is a remarkable jazz singer who has been singing since childhood. She has studied both instrumental and choral music, and performed in theatrical and musical productions. Her focus now is on small jazz ensembles from duos to quintets, where she sings some of the most beautiful music ever composed – the wonderful standards from the Great American Songbook.
Elaine’s uniquely warm, tantalizing and often sultry sound appeals to such a diverse audience that she sings in a wide variety of musical venues, and performs regularly with some of our finest jazz musicians, including notable Juno Award winners.
