John Zadro has been a regular face at the Jazz Room since it opened, playing both as a side man and as a leader. He has been performing professionally for over four decades and has a remarkable ten thousand gigs under his belt. Recently John has focused his attention on his writing skills and frequently performs entire evenings with only original music. Not to be stylistically categorized, his material mimics jazz idioms encompassing swing, bop, latin, gospel and new age. John’s last appearance at the Jazz Room was sold out, and after hearing the interpretations of his talented guest musicians, and the variety and wittiness of his material, a repeat packed house is quite probable.
