This show took place on April 26, 2013. See what’s coming up at The Jazz Room.
Kite explores the boundaries between jazz and rock in a fresh way, making music that is relevant, grooving, and not without a touch of dark humour. They draw unabashedly from sources usually overlooked by other jazz groups, including minimalism, modern classical, progressive rock, and country music.
“Kite has garnered a reputation for a unique compositional style and inspired, highly energetic performances.” – kitetrio.com
- Eric Dew – drums
- Paul Van Dyke – bass
- Éric Couture-Telmosse – guitar
“A relaxed feel belies a taut tension that is framed by the contrast…” – Lawrence Joseph, Montreal Mirror
