LMT Connection are a soul/funk trio established in 1989 who are true masters of their craft, having recorded seven albums, played over 7,000 shows including 15 tours of Europe (2003-2025) and 6 tours of China (2013-2018). At home in Canada they remarkably held a weekly residency at Toronto’s legendary Orbit Room for over 20 years.
Lead Vocalist and guitarist Leroy Emmanuel has been a dedicated musician and entertainer for most of his life. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, and raised in Detroit, he began his professional career at the age of twelve and played or recorded with Marvin Gaye, Gladys Night and the Pips, Stevie Wonder, Commodores, Sly and the Family Stone, Freda Payne, and the Funk Brothers – just to name a few.
Drummer Mark Rogers is a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and started playing drums when he was eight years old; by age eighteen he was recognized by the Canadian Jazz Festival as the country’s top drummer for his age group. Shortly thereafter he began performing with a ten-piece Motown revue touring all over North America with legendary guitarist Leroy Emmanuel. In addition to LMT Connection, he anchors award-winning gospel/soul group Newworldson and operates his own production company New Century Productions.
Bassist John Irvine is an Ottawa native who has played professionally since the age of twelve; his credits include working for Capitol and RCA Records with such diverse artists as Ronnie Hawkins and Liberty Silver. An innovator with effects, John has designed pedals for Zoom Sound Laboratory and recorded with EDM superstar Deadmau5.
